The vacancy

AIS Brazil are looking for a Deputy General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of operations, whilst driving a positive culture and supporting the wider Company's ambitious growth plans. This is an autonomous role with the freedom to make positive changes with the backing and support of the AIS group to grow the business.

We manufacture insulation jackets which are used across various industries including construction, oil & gas, and general industrial sectors. We also apply subsea insulation material and manufacture ancillary products made of polyurethane, which will be deployed subsea, mainly to the oil and gas business. We employ 80+ people across sales, design, finance, and manufacturing.

What will you do as our Deputy General Manager?

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility
  • Develop strategy and set goals for growth
  • Manage the profit and loss
  • Ensure collaboration between sales, design, and production teams
  • Prepare monthly reports in line with Company policy
  • Manage the production planning processes and ensure there is a robust dispatch process
  • Identify training and development needs and make recommendations where appropriate
  • Build effective relationships with other AIS group businesses, encouraging collaboration and shared learning
  • Drive the culture of quality, health, and safety

What are we looking for in our Deputy General Manager?

  • This role would suit a Production Manager, Project Manager or Operations Manager who is looking for the next step in their career
  • Experience from a manufacturing background is essential
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering positive change
  • Knowledge of planning and budgeting
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collaborate and make significant step changes
  • An engineering degree would be beneficial, but not essential
